Playa Xpu-Ha, Mexico (May 25, 2010) The Esencia Estate in Mexico's Riviera Maya is offering complimentary accommodations, free food, unlimited drinks and even free spa treatments on August 24, 2010. That date is the birthday of Italian Duchess Rosa's D' Ferrari, who used to live at the hotel when it was her private estate. The day-long party will feature special meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus celebratory events at the pool and on the beach, with live music and entertainment all day long.
“On this special day, our guests enjoy everything completely free, including accommodations, spa treatments, meals and even margaritas on the beach,” said Philip Vidal, general manager of Hotel Esencia.
Duchess D' Ferrari still visits the property several times a year and makes it a point to always be there for her birthday. Five percent of all revenue from hotel reservations during her birthday week will be donated to a local orphanage foundation located in Playa del Carmen.
"I am very fortunate to have what I need to live a very happy life. Rather than receive presents for myself on my birthday, I like to give back to my guests and the community,” said Duchess D' Ferrari. |

Now that the media fervor over the perils of traveling to Mexico is widely accepted as over-blown, visitors can go back to more "important" concerns – like which snorkel excursion is best, which Mayan ruins are the most impressive, and whether a pina colada or margarita would go better with dinner.
